With the kids set to return to the classroom next week, London police have put together a new set of videos to remind people of the importance of safety.
The back-to-school safety series includes five different videos on bicycle safety, railway crossings, safe driving, crossing the street, and bus safety. The first video was released Friday morning and a new one will be posted online around 10am each morning until the first day of school on Tuesday.
“Back to school time is always exciting,” said Sergeant Brendan Hicks of the police community services unit. “It’s important in all of that excitement for kids to remember their rules for getting to and from school safely. Drivers also need to be extra careful and cautious, especially in school zones. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, so let’s all work together to keep kids safe on our roads and sidewalks.”
The videos can be found on the London police Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube feeds. They will also be archived on the police website - www.londonpolice.ca.
