Shot fired at suspect

A man has been arrested after a stolen vehicle investigation led an officer to fire their gun at a suspect in the east end.

Members of the police street crime unit, who were trying to track down a stolen vehicle, went to a home on Noel Avenue, near Marconi Boulevard around 1:45 p.m. on Monday. The officers found the stolen vehicle and an "interaction" between them and an adult male took place, police said in a statement.

During the altercation one of the officers fired their gun. No one was hurt.

A man was taken into police custody.
