Snow squall warning lifted

London dodged the majority of the snow that was expected to fall on the city Wednesday afternoon.

Environment Canada had forecast snow squalls to drop 20 centimetres throughout London and Middlesex, but other than a few short-lived squalls after the lunch hour, there was no significant accumulation.

As of late afternoon, a snow squall warning for London, Parkhill, Strathroy, Komoka, and Middlesex County was still in effect. However, it was lifted on Wednesday night.

Environment Canada also issued travel advisories for Oxford and Elgin counties. While those areas were unlikely to see much snow, motorists were still being urged to prepare for reduced visibility due to blowing snow.
