4,000 pounds of lead stolen from shipyard

Provincial police in Norfolk are asking for the public's help identifying suspects who allegedly stole 4,000 pounds of lead from a Port Dover shipyard.

Between Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, there were two break-ins at the Chapman Street East shipyard that saw several large ship radiators and the $5,000 worth of lead stolen.

Police were contacted about the thefts by the shipyard owner on Friday afternoon.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
