The London Lightning lost to the KW Titans 129-123 at Budweiser Gardens on Friday.
The Titans held a big 15-point advantage at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 69-52 as the game entered halftime.
Kitchener-Waterloo kept the Lightning at bay again in the third, but only held a five-point lead as the game entered the final quarter. London was finally able to catch up to tie the game 94-94 with under 10 minutes left in the game, and scored a two-point lead with just over five minutes left on the clock. However, the Titans continued to battle back and forth before moving ahead by six points in the final minutes for the win.
Garrett Williamson led London with 25 points and 11 assists, while Jelan Kendrick and Marvin Phillips put up 20 points each. Jaylen Babb-Harrison also scored 16 points and Anthony "AJ" Gaines Jr. had another 13 and 11 rebounds.
The Lightning will try to bounce back when they take on the Windsor Express on December 28. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. in Windsor.
