Suspect descriptions released in LCBO smash-and-grab

A day after a vehicle was driven into an east London LCBO in a bold smash-and-grab robbery, London police have released surveillance images of one of two suspects involved in the heist.

The break-in at the liqueur store at 348 Clarke Rd., near Dundas Street, happened around 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday. When officers arrived on scene they found a vehicle had been driven into the front of the building causing an estimated $100,000 damage. Store management confirmed a quantity of alcohol had been stolen.

The culprits managed to get away before police got there.

Investigators believe the suspects involved are an adult man and a teenager. Descriptions of both were released on Wednesday morning. The man is described as Caucasian, between 19 to 25 years old and was wearing dark clothing. The teen is said to be between 14 to 17 years old with a thin build and was wearing dark clothing.

Surveillance images of the male suspect have been released to the public, but photos of the teen cannot be released due to the suspect's young age.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
