The London Lightning fell 129-124 to the Sudbury Five in NBL Canada action on Friday.
The Lightning held a two-point advantage at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 67-63 as the game entered halftime. The Five inched ahead by one point at the end of the third frame to make it 96-95, and despite a back-and-forth final quarter, London couldn't recover from their five-point deficit in the final minutes.
Anthony Gaines Jr. led London with 26 points and two rebounds, while Marvell Waithe had 23 points and three rebounds. Xavier Moon put up another 19 points and had four assists.
The Lightning return to their home court on Sunday to take on Sudbury again at 2 p.m.
