Lightning stopped by Sudbury 115-110

Maurice Bolden scored 25 points, but the London Lightning fell 115-110 to the Sudbury Five at Budweiser Gardens Sunday afternoon.

The Lightning have dipped back under the 500-mark and are now 11-13 on the season.

Garrett Williamson put up 20 points for London, including a perfect 12-for-12 at the charity stripe. A.J. Gaines Jr. added 18 points off the bench. Defensively, Marcus Capers led the Lightning with 13 rebounds.

For the Five, Travis Releford was the offensive leader with 26 points, with Cory Dixon right behind with 25 and Braylon Rayson shooting for 19 points. Jaylon Bland led defensively with nine boards.

The first half of the contest was close, with the Lightning holding a 57-54 lead at the intermission. Sudbury began to slightly pull away in the third quarter and was able to keep distance from London down the stretch.

The Lightning will travel to Moncton on Wednesday night to take on the Magic.
