A stretch of the westbound 401 in London had to be closed Wednesday afternoon after a tanker truck started leaking fuel.
Police announced just after 3 p.m. that the westbound 401 had been closed between Highway 402 and Colonel Talbot Road due to the spill. According to police, a tanker truck started leaking fuel in the westbound lanes just west of the 402 cutoff.
Traffic was detoured off the 401 at Highway 402 during the closure.
All westbound lanes were reopened to traffic just after 6 p.m.
