The London Lightning were defeated by the Moncton Magic 119-112 in double overtime on Wednesday.
The Lightning held a three-point advantage at the end of the first period, and extended their lead to 51-43 as the game entered halftime. However, the Magic fought back in the third period to jump ahead 67-60 at the end of the frame. Moncton held the lead for most of the final quarter, but London tied things up in the finals seconds to force overtime.
The two teams remained tied at 105-105 at the end of the first five minutes of OT, but the Magic inched ahead in the second OT frame to win with a seven-point advantage.
Maurice Bolden led London with 18 points and six rebounds, while Anthony Gaines Jr. added another 17 points and six rebounds. Kevin Ware Jr. and Garrett Williamson both put up 16 points each.
The Lightning are on the road again on Friday to battle the Cape Breton Highlanders at 6 p.m.
