A London man is facing several charges after an investigation into a shooting in the south end of the city.
Police were called around 7:25 a.m. on Monday, June 17 after a man showed up at a local hospital with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The 55-year-old's injury was non-life threatening and he was treated at hospital then released. The investigation led police to a hotel on Exeter Road, near Wellington Road South, where officers found evidence of a shooting.
London police announced on Wednesday that a 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged. Jeremy Wayne Robert Clements of London is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm, three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and discharging a firearm with intent to wound/endanger life.
Police say the firearm has not been recovered.
