Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm warning for Western Elgin County, which includes Rodney and Shedden.
The weather agency issued the warning late Friday afternoon and said meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
Scattered thunderstorms were expected to develop and move slowly eastward across portions of the regions Friday afternoon. Rainfall amounts of up to 50 millimetres were possible, as well as wind gusts up to 80 kilometres per hour.
Environment Canada said these storms were localized, and some places may not have see rainy weather.
