Two people have been arrested and two others are still wanted by police after several of firearms and stolen vehicles were seized at a London business.
The London Police Service said on Sunday at around 9:30 p.m., an officer spotted a man riding a motorcycle at a high rate of speed on Industrial Road, south of Oxford Street. He was also not wearing his helmet. The motorcycle was later found abandoned in a parking lot on Industrial Road near a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, and a man was arrested nearby. Another man was also seen fleeing the area and was arrested by officers without incident.
Police later discovered that the motorcycle and the Silverado had both been stolen on Friday, from London and Ingersoll respectively.
A search warrant was then obtained for a business on Industrial Road. During the search of the property on Monday, police seized two .22 calibre rifles, a hunting rifle, a shotgun, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2000 Harley Davidson, an ATV frame and several motorcycle frames.
As a result, 37-year-old Robert James Arnold of London, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5, 000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5, 000 and possession of a Schedule I substance.
Carson Nothof, 22, of Ingersoll, is also charged with four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, four counts of possessing a firearm without authority and five counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
Police have also issued arrest warrants for Michael Raymond Grebenchen, 38, of London and Miranda Bassie, 22, of Woodstock. Both are wanted for several firearms offences in connection with the seized property.
