The Civic long weekend has arrived, but not everyone gets all three days off.
Celebrated on the first Monday in August, the Civic is not classified as a statutory holiday. That can lead to some confusion for those running errands as some businesses will be open, while others will be closed.
Here is a list of what’s open and closed in London on the Civic Holiday:

OPEN:
White Oaks Mall (9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.), Masonville Place (10 a.m.-6 p.m.), and Westmount Shopping Centre (9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.) Select LCBO outlets Most Beer Stores Labatt Retail Store – 9:30 a.m. - 11 p.m. Most grocery stores and drug stores Costco Wholesale Fanshawe Pioneer Village The Children's Museum Fanshawe Conservation Area (for campsite availability call 1-866-668-2267) City spray pads and wading pools Five London community centres will have special holiday hours and programming (Carling Heights, South London, Stronach, Bostwick, and Stoney Creek) Movie theatres London Ribfest in Victoria Park (final day) The LTC will be running on a Sunday schedule. Normal service returns on Tuesday.
