Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of London man who is wanted in connection with the shooting of another man in the city's Old East Village.
The London Police Service said 22-year-old Jacob Patrick Sturgeon is facing charges of aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to wound/endanger life, possession of a loaded/unloaded firearm, careless use of firearm, using a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon without ownership, and pointing a firearm.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on June 20 at around 11 20 p.m. when a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of Dundas and English streets. The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition but he has since recovered and been released from hospital.
Sturgeon’s whereabouts are currently unknown and police have released his photo, which can be seen above.
