Seven people are facing charges after a rented London home was left with $80,000 damage following a high school graduation after-party.
London police received several 911 calls about the large gathering at a home in the Grand Avenue and Ridout Street area on June 27. When officers arrived on scene they found dozens of young people and significant damage to the home, which was rented through an online short-term rental service, according to police.
Police secondary school resource officers have spent the last two months investigating the rowdy party.
Four men and one woman, aged 18 and 19, and two teen boys are now charged with once count each of mischief over $5,000.
The owners of the damaged home were unaware that a party was being held at the residence and believed they were renting to a young couple from out of town, police said.
