London police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in an assault that left a woman seriously injured.
The assault happened in south London in the spring. According to police, officers were called to an establishment on Wharncliffe Road South near Southdale Road for a disturbance around 2:25 a.m. on May 5, 2019.
The victim suffered serious injuries.
"As a result of recent information, police have obtained a photograph of a suspect, and are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying her," police said in a news release issued Tuesday. "The suspect is described as a Caucasian woman between 25 and 35 years of age. She is approximately 5’4” tall, with a heavy build, black hair and a tongue piercing."
