Employees tied up, assaulted in cellular store robbery

London police are searching for three suspects after two employees of a south-end cellular store were tied up and one assaulted during a weekend robbery.

According to police, the employees of the store located within White Oaks Mall on Wellington Road South were closing up for the night around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, when two masked men rushed in.

One of the employees was assaulted before both of them were tied up. The two suspects took off in an awaiting vehicle outside of the mall with an undisclosed quantity of product.

Police were called by one of the employees who managed to free herself after the suspects had left. Injuries to the employee who was assaulted were said to be non-life threatening.

The first suspect is described as between 20-24-years-old, approximately 6’1” tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a red baseball cap, black hoodie, dark pants, black shoes, a white bandana, gloves, and was carrying a blue duffle bag.

The second suspect is between 20-24-years-old, approximately 5’8” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, black running shoes, a black/white bandana, and was carrying a black duffle bag.

The third suspect, who was the driver of the getaway vehicle, is described as male, between 20-24-years-old, and was operating a white four-door vehicle.

The investigation is on-going.
