Photo courtesy of OPP West.A trucker is facing charges after a big rig collided with a car while merging onto Highway 403 in Oxford County.
Emergency crews were called to the 403 on-ramp near Oxford Road 55 around 9:45 a.m. Thursday. The transport truck was merging onto the highway when it hit the car, OPP said.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The trucker, a 37-year-old Brampton man, was not hurt. He is not charged with not safely changing lanes.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
