The London Knights fell 5-3 to the Sarnia Sting at Budweiser Gardens on Friday.
The Knights suffered a tough first period after Sarnia scored three back-to-back goals, before adding another 13 seconds into the second to take a 4-0 lead.
Luke Evangelista scored to put London on the board 15:14 into the second, and Jonathan Gruden added another early in the third to cut Sarnia's lead in half. Nathan Dunkley scored 9:26 into the final period to bring London within one goal of the Sting, but Sarnia was able to add one more unanswered goal with just under two minutes left in the game.
Despite the loss, the Knights outshot the Sting 38-26.
The Knights will head to Windsor on Sunday to battle the Spitfires at 2:05 p.m.
