Spitfires double Knights 6-3

The Windsor Spitfires doubled the London Knights 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Luke Boka scored the first goal for the Spitfires at 2:52 in the first period. Tyler Angle and Egor Afanasyev added goals to make it a 3-0 game, before Angle scored his second goal of the period to make it 4-0 for the Spitfires. Billy Moskal scored the first goal for the Knights, a power-play goal 16:06 into the period.

Daniel D'Amico started the scoring in the second period with a goal for the Spitfires. Matvey Guskov scored a power-play goal for the Knights which was quickly followed by another goal for the Knights by Ryan Merkley.

Jean-Luc Foudy scored a power-play goal at 8:25 into the third period to make it 6-3 for Windsor.

Knights goalie Dylan Myskiw stopped three of six shots in the first period before being replaced by Brett Brochu, who stopped 21 of 24 shots. Spitfires goalie Xavier Medina saved 39 out of 42 shots on net.

The Knights will face off against the North Bay Battalion on Thursday at the North Bay Memorial Gardens. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

The Spitfires will face off against the Mississauga Steelheads on Thursday at the WFCU Centre. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
