London mother claims $1M lotto prize

A London mother of three is the city's newest millionaire.

Catherine Biggs has claimed the $1 million guaranteed prize in the December 21 Lotto 6/49 super draw.

"When I first scanned my ticket on the OLG Lottery App, I thought I won $100,000," Biggs said while picking up her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “It was unreal."

The 64-year-old plans to use her new found wealth to buy a house.

The winning ticket was bought at the Petro Canada on Highbury Avenue in St. Thomas.
