Knights top Steelheads 3-1

The London Knights earned their third straight victory by beating the Mississauga Steelheads 3-1 on Friday.

Antonio Stranges scored in the latter half of the first period to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. Nathan Dunkley added another for London 5:16 into the second and Jonathan Gruden made it 3-0 for the Knights with a goal 15:54 into the frame.

The Steelheads prevented a shutout by scoring halfway through the final period, but the Knights kept them at bay for the remainder of the game.

Knights goalie Brett Brochu made 40 saves out of 41 shots on net.

The Knights are in Flint on Saturday to face off against the Firebirds. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
