OPP looking for high-tech peeping Tom

Police are investigating after a drone was used to spy on a woman while she was changing at her home in Port Dover.

The Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police said on January 13 between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., the female resident was in the bedroom of her Prospect Street home and began changing clothes when she spotted a blue flashing light outside the window.  Upon looking closer, she realized it was a drone hovering outside with a video camera attached to the bottom.

The victim immediately opened the window and saw a man standing near the edge of her property holding a remote control for the drone. She yelled at the man, who then walked away immediately heading northwest on Prospect Street.

The police were notified on Friday and officers began an investigation.

The suspect is described as a man in his 60s with white coloured hair. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweater that covered his head.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
