Construction will cause a few headaches for drivers in east London this weekend.
Oxford Street East between Adelaide Street North and Durham Street will be closed around 6 a.m. Saturday and remain closed until Monday afternoon. According to the city, the closure is to allow for the installation of new sanitary, storm, and water services.
Drivers will be detoured around the work. Pedestrians can also expect to be affected with sporadic sidewalk restrictions and closures over the three day period.
The section of Oxford will be paved and fully reopened in time for the afternoon commute on Monday, according to city officials.
