Police in Strathroy-Caradoc have found a decommissioned fire truck and trailer that was stolen from a London compound last week.
The truck and trailer were found inside a detached garage on Muncey Road, south of Delaware. Acting on a tip, police raided the rural property on Sunday and found the vehicle being dismantled and repainted by two men.
The big red truck and an attached orange "ring-o-matic" trailer were snatched early last Thursday from a fenced compound on Wharncliffe Road South in London.
The two men who were working on the truck and trailer when police arrived, in addition to a third man, were arrested without incident.
Two of the men have since been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and removing a vehicle identification number.
