A 67-year-old man has been charged in a head-on crash south of Aylmer that claimed the life of a Bayham woman last December.
A vehicle heading east crossed over the centre line into the westbound lanes colliding with an oncoming vehicle on John Wise Line between Rogers Road and Imperial Road around 5:20 p.m. on December 23 of last year, Elgin OPP said.
Susana Peters, 62, of Bayham, a passenger in the westbound vehicle, was rushed to hospital where she later died from her injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were also hurt.
Heinrich Froese, 67, of Aylmer has now been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. He is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas court on June 23.
