Neighbour alerts police to thief

A quick-thinking neighbour is being commended for stopping a burglar on Boullee Street.

The individual called 911 after spotting someone breaking into a neighbouring home around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. London police arrived and after a short foot chase arrested a man in connection with the incident.

A 28-year-old London man is charged with break and enter with intent. He will appear in London court in relation to the charge on July 8.

Police are offering their thanks to the neighbour for notifying authorities about the crime.

"Often things go unreported, and we continue to remind Londoners, if we don’t know – we can’t go," police said in a statement.
