A man was found unconscious in the driver's seat of the vehicle, which had come to rest in a row of bushes. The back of the SUV was also on fire, London police said.

The man was taken to hospital where it was later determined there were outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Police seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl during their investigation.

A 36-year-old Toronto man is now charged with four counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, impaired, and two counts of failure to comply with release order. He is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Friday.
