Provincial police in Norfolk County are investigating a fatal collision.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday, police, paramedic services and fire crews responded to a 9-1-1 call for a single motor vehicle collision at an address on Teeterville Road.
It was determined that the vehicle was travelling southeast on Teeterville Road when the driver left the roadway and went airborne before colliding with a hydro pole.
Volunteers firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated the driver. It was discovered that the individual had suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Teeterville Road was closed between Windham Road 6 and Caroline Street for around eight hours. The investigation is ongoing.
