A dozen charges have been laid against a 36-year-old Aylmer man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl over a six year period.
Aylmer police were notified about the incidents on Friday and immediately launched an investigation.
According to police, a young girl was sexually assaulted on "several occasions" at an Aylmer home between 2011 and 2017.
A 36-year-old Aylmer man has been arrested and is charged with four counts each of sexual interference, sexual assault of a person under the age of 16, and sexual exploitation.
The victim and the accused knew each other prior to the assaults, police said.
