Cab hit by bullets

London police are asking for the public's help as they search for the person who fired the shots that hit a cab on the weekend.

Around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, a cab driver picked up a fare on Adelaide Street North. While heading east on Oxford Street east of Clarke Road, the cab was approached by black, four-door sedan (shown above). Someone in the sedan fired several shots, hitting the cab. The driver of the cab stopped, while the sedan continued east. The passenger in the cab got out and took off.

The cab driver reported the incident to police, who discovered several bullet holes in the cab. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Police believe there were two people in the black sedan.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com
