Update: missing man found

Update: London police announced on Thursday, July 23 that Robert Whitton had been found and is safe.

Police are asking for the public's help to locate a 51-year-old London man who has been missing for a week.

The London Police Service said Robert Whitton was last seen on July 14 in the area of Nelson Street and Maitland Street.

Family and police are concerned for his welfare.

Whitton is described as a Caucasian male, 5’5” tall, 130 pounds, clean-shaven with short brown hair.

Anyone with information regarding this man's whereabouts is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
