Police seeking sex assault suspect

London police are asking for the public's help as they investigate two sexual assaults that may have been committed by the same man.

According to police, a woman was walking past Nicholas Wilson Park on Adelaide Street south of Osgoode Drive just before 9 p.m. on August 10 when a man sexually assaulted her. Police said, after assaulting the woman, the man took off through the park on a bicycle.

He is described as Caucasian, 20-30 years of age, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, with a slim build, brown/grey hair in a buzz cut, and was wearing a polo shirt and shorts.

The second incident happened on August 16 around 9 p.m. Police say a woman walking in the area of Trafalgar Street and Carson Lane was sexually assaulted. The suspect is described as Caucasian, about 30 years of age, average height and build, and was wearing a t-shirt and bright blue shorts with a design.

"Both investigations are being conducted by the Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Section," police said in a news release issued Wednesday. "Investigators believe the same suspect could be responsible for both sexual assaults."

Police are hoping someone can identify the suspect, shown in the video below.
