Two London men are facing drug charges after police stopped a stolen vehicle and found more than $23,000 worth of fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine inside.
London police spotted the stolen white sedan in the area of Dufferin Avenue and Maitland Street on Sunday, nearly one week after it was snatched from a driveway on Epworth Avenue. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and arrested two men.
A search of the vehicle turned up 52.5 grams of fentanyl, 22.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, $3,000 cash, and a cell phone. The drugs are worth a combined $23,200.
A 52-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from London, are charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The men are scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on November 20.
