Residents of a street in north London were able to see a significant police presence as they looked out of their windows Thursday.
Officers with the London Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police surrounded a home on Regent Street near Adelaide Street in what an OPP spokesman was part of an "ongoing investigation."
There has been no further information regarding the focus of the investigation. In an emailed statement, London police Constable Sandasha Bough said London officers were on the scene to assist the OPP in the execution of a warrant. Both London police and the OPP said there is no risk to public safety.
Police had cleared the scene by Thursday afternoon.
