Motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash

One person is dead following a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle between Innerkip and Drumbo.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to the crash between the motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Oxford Road 22 and Oxford Road 29 on Thursday at around 4 p.m.

The motorcycle rider, identified as 25-year-old Ryan Gopsill of Innerkip, was rushed to hospital by EMS with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

The intersection was closed for several hours while the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team was at the scene. However, the road has since been reopened to traffic.
