Multiple school bus routes cancelled Monday

Parents of some students returning to the classroom may have trouble getting their kids to school on Monday.

Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services (STS) posted several school bus cancellations around the region at 6:40 a.m.

Routes to six schools including Byron Northview public school, Regina Mundi Catholic secondary, Sir Isaac Brock public school, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic secondary, Westminster secondary school, and White Oaks public school are not running.

Last week, STS warned there could be delays and cancellations due to an ongoing driver shortage. They recommended parents have an alternate transportation plan in the event of service disruptions.

Parents of affected kids were to be notified of any delays or cancellations through the STS website mybigyellowbus.ca and the BusPlanner Delays app.
