Man killed in Ingersoll 401 crash identified

A Quebec man has been identified as the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Ingersoll over the weekend.

Abdoulaye Diaby, 37, of Montreal, was behind the wheel of a sedan that left the eastbound side of the highway at Culloden Road around 5 p.m. on Sunday and hit an overpass pillar.

Diaby, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Oxford OPP said.

The crash kept the eastbound ramp of the highway at Culloden closed for nearly five hours.
