St. Thomas man shoved, groceries stolen

Charges have been laid after a man was pushed down and robbed in a St. Thomas parking lot.

The man was carrying a bag of items he had just purchased on Thursday when he encountered another man in a Talbot Street parking lot who is alleged to have shoved him. The man then took off with the victim's bag.

St. Thomas police were called and arrested a 50-year-old man in connection with the robbery on Friday. He is charged with one count of robbery and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The victim was not hurt.

Police have said this was an isolated incident as the two men were known to each other.
