It was an adventurous morning for a group of kids who had to be hustled off a disabled school bus in east London.
London firefighters were called about a school bus fire at the intersection of Florence Street and Highbury Avenue around 8 a.m. Monday. When crews arrived on scene they found light smoke coming from the big yellow vehicle.
They determined the smoke was the result of overheated brakes.
The bus driver had evacuated the bus before crews arrived and no one was hurt.
Drivers were temporarily asked to avoid the intersection.
