London police say they are now searching for a second suspect in connection with the sexual trafficking of a young woman.
Police announced Monday that they have an arrest warrant for Joel Joshua Ramocan, 28, of no fixed address. Ramocan (shown above) is wanted on charges of trafficking in persons, getting financial/material benefit from trafficking a person over 18, getting material benefit from sexual services, and procuring/exercising control.
The charges stem from an investigation that began in June into the 18-month long trafficking of a female. According to police, the girl met a man when she was 16-years-old, who began to traffic her in the sex trade in London and other parts of Ontario after she turned 18.
The trafficking is said to have continued for 18 months. Investigators believe there could be more victims associated with this case.
Police announced in July that they had charged Jordan Hawke with several offences, including trafficking a person, uttering death threats, assault, causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, financial/material benefit from trafficking, recruiting for sexual services, advertising another person’s sexual services, and communicating with a person for the purpose of obtaining sexual services.
Another 23 charges were laid against him in October. However, police are still looking for Hawke, who is described as Black, 6’1” tall, 180 pounds, with short black hair in braids, and a short black beard.
