Safety vests hung in tribute of building collapse victims

As family and friends mourn the loss of two young men in a partial building collapse, Londoners have been hanging safety vests outside their homes in tribute to the men.

Across London, orange or green safety vests have been hung outside homes in tribute to Henry Harder and John Martens. The two men died Friday when a portion of a four storey building on Teeple Terrace collapsed.

Londoners have been taking to social media and posting photos of vests hung outside their homes. In a Facebook post in the Old South Community Board group, a user said that if Londoners were willing to put hockey sticks outside their homes in tribute to the victims of Humboldt Broncos bus crash, they can show similar support for Harder and Martens.

A funeral service for Henry Harder was set for Tuesday afternoon, while a service for John Martens will be held Thursday. Both services will be held at Lighthouse Gospel Church in Port Burwell.
