Working smoke alarms are being thanked for getting several people to safety after an early morning house fire in London on Sunday.
The London Fire Department reported the blaze around 6:45 a.m. on Dundas Street near Crumlin Sideroad.
Seven people escaped the house, which fire officials said was because of working smoke alarms. The fire has left all the occupants of the house displaced.
As of 7 a.m., the fire was under control. Investigators are on the scene working to determine the cause and circumstances of the blaze.
