The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) has confirmed one case of COVID-19 at Chippewa Public School.
They did not say whether the case was found in a student or a member of faculty.
The school board said in a statement Sunday that all staff, parents and guardians of the affected school communities have been notified. Only those who have been identified as a close contact have been advised to stay home from school and quarantine for 14 days.
If you do not receive a letter of notification, your child is not considered to be at risk. This is the first case to be identified at Chippewa Public School.
The school board added that it is following all public health guidelines and reassured parents that schools remain a safe place to attend.
