About 60-70 residents were temporarily displaced by a fire at a highrise at 136 Albert Street on Sunday.
The fire erupted on the third floor of the six-floor apartment building around 11:00 a.m. As smoke spread to other floors, all residents were evacuated.
A London Transit bus arrived on the scene to shelter the evacuated residents. They were also provided with personal protective equipment.
Meanwhile, fire crews deployed high-rise hose lines and were eventually able to put out the fire.
One resident was assessed by Paramedics and taken to hospital. London Fire Department Platoon Chief Mosburger said the resident was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons in relation to smoke inhalation, but that they were not admitted.
Floors one, two, three, five, and six were able to return to their units, while everyone on the fourth floor has been temporarily displaced.
"[They] are currently being assisted by Red Cross and housed at a hotel close by," said Chief Mosburger.

The fire has been deemed suspicious, according to Chief Mosburger.
"The investigation will continue tomorrow," he said.
The cause and origin of the fire is still unknown, and a damages estimate has not been provided. The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Office of the Fire Marshal and the London Police Service.
