Man carjacked at knifepoint, suspect in custody

London police say no injuries were reported and a suspect is in custody after a man was carjacked at knifepoint on Horton Street Tuesday morning.

Police were called to area of Horton Street and William Street after a citizen witnessed the alleged carjacking at around 6:50 a.m. Police later confirmed that a man was robbed of his vehicle at knifepoint.

Before 7:15 a.m., officers located the stolen vehicle, a 2006 Black Chevrolet Silverado, in the area of Commissioners Road East and Meadowlily Road, leading to a brief pursuit that was eventually terminated.

Middlesex OPP were notified as the vehicle exited London westbound on Highway 401, and at around 8 a.m., the stolen vehicle was located empty in the area of Stalker Line and Dunborough Road in West Eglin.

The two area police services worked together to locate and arrest a suspect roughly an hour later in the area of Dymock Line and Dunborough Road.

London police say investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
