A weekend traffic stop netted London police a gun, ammunition, and a quantity of drugs and left three people charged.
Police saw a vehicle with a stolen licence plate leave a parking lot on Little Simcoe Street around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday. A description was provided to other nearby officers who were able to stop the vehicle in the area of Clarke Road and Sudbury Avenue.
The driver and two passengers were arrested without incident.
A search of the vehicle turned up .22 calibre firearm with the stock removed, three bullets, 19.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, and a digital scale.
A 32 year-old man, a 38-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy are charged with possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence and registration certificate and careless storage of firearm or ammunition.
The 32-year-old man faces additional charges of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
