A two-vehicle crash in Wardsville has claimed the life of a 78-year-old Dutton-Dunwich Township woman.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Longwoods Road and Hagerty Road around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday after a pickup truck and car collided.
One person was critically hurt in the crash and later died from her injuries. The victim has been identified as Frances Labadie of Dutton-Dunwich Township.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is in its preliminary stages, Middlesex OPP said on Thursday morning.
Longwoods Road was closed for several hours following the crash. It was reopened overnight.
