A St. Thomas retirement home was safely evacuated after a fire erupted Wednesday afternoon.
According to the St. Thomas Fire Department, crews arrived at Walnut Manor around 4 p.m. for a blaze that started at the back of the home.
The exterior of the building took the brunt of the damage. No one was injured during the incident.
A damage estimate has not yet been released.
Investigators continue to search for the cause of the fire.
